Arsenal and Lyon are expected to reach a complete agreement on striker Alexandre Lacazette by Monday, allowing the player to then undergo his medical with the Gunners on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger’s side have been locked in talks with Lyon to sign Lacazette as they look to beef up their attacking options this summer.
According to French sports daily L’Equipe, a complete agreement between the two clubs is expected on Monday.
Lyon are still hoping to agree the deal on the basis of a €60m fee, which would represent the club’s biggest ever sale, along with being Arsenal’s biggest ever player purchase.
As long as there are no hiccups along the way, Lacazette would then fly to England on either Tuesday or Wednesday and have his medical with the Gunners.
It appears the transfer saga is now rapidly heading towards its conclusion, with Lacazette set to play his football in the Premier League next season.
The Gunners will hope the Frenchman can hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium as they look to break back into the top four.
